About

Built for Kenyans Who Want to Do More With Their Money

Local Listing Dealz is a Kenyan personal finance and investment website based in Mombasa. We write about money the way it actually works in Kenya — M-Pesa, NSE dividends, money market funds, SACCOs, mobile loans, and the digital income streams that are genuinely worth your time.

We do not publish advice built for Western economies. No 401(k)s, no Roth IRAs, no “open a Vanguard account.” If it does not work with a Safaricom line and a Kenyan bank account, it is not on this site.

What We Cover

NSE Investing and Dividend Income We track every confirmed dividend on the Nairobi Securities Exchange — book closure dates, payout amounts, T+3 buy deadlines, and what each dividend means for shareholders at different holding sizes. Our coverage spans individual company guides (KCB, Equity, Safaricom, Co-operative Bank, KenGen) through to master trackers covering every active corporate action on the exchange.

Money Market Funds and Savings We compare Kenya’s top CMA-regulated money market funds by real net yield — not the headline rate — and explain how to open, fund, and withdraw from each one via M-Pesa. We also cover SACCOs, fixed deposit rates, and the M-Pesa savings products that are actually worth using versus those that are not.

Digital Income and Mobile Money We cover the legitimate digital earning and financial platforms available to Kenyans: survey apps that actually pay, crypto wallets that connect to M-Pesa, freelancing platforms that pay to M-Pesa via Payoneer, and FinTech sign-up bonuses worth claiming. If a platform is a scam or pays less than advertised, we say so directly.

Business and Grants We cover business grants available to Kenyan entrepreneurs — government programmes, NGO funding, and international foundations — with honest eligibility requirements and application guidance.

Who Writes This

Hi, I am Christine — a publisher and content strategist based in Mombasa, Kenya. I started Local Listing Dealz as a local business directory and pivoted it into what it is now: a personal finance resource built specifically for Kenyan realities.

Every article on this site is written or reviewed by me. When I recommend a money market fund, I have looked at the actual CMA data. When I say a survey platform pays, I have verified it independently. When I flag a withdrawal limit or a fee, I have checked it against the official source.

I am not a licensed financial advisor. What I am is a Kenyan who has spent years navigating the same financial products, platforms, and decisions that my readers face — and who believes that access to clear, verified, Kenya-specific information should not require a finance degree.

The Standard We Hold Ourselves To

  • We verify figures before publishing — share prices, dividend amounts, MMF yields, and loan fees are checked against official sources
  • We update articles when data changes — a dividend guide from March 2026 is reviewed and updated after results are announced
  • We flag our own uncertainty — if a date is projected rather than confirmed, we say so
  • We do not recommend platforms we have not researched — if we cannot verify how a product works and what it actually pays, it does not go on the site

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct them.
