Jubilee Holdings Share Price and Dividend Yield

Jubilee has traded roughly between KES 360 and KES 400 in recent months. So 100 shares cost about KES 36,000 to KES 40,000.

At those prices, KES 15 a year is a gross yield of about 3.8% to 4.2%. That’s solid rather than spectacular.

The upside is the cushion. Jubilee’s earnings per share for 2025 were KES 80, so the KES 15 dividend uses only about 19% of profit. Few NSE payers keep that much back.

  • The ordinary dividend is growing. It rose 12.5% in FY2024 and 11.1% in FY2025.
  • 2023 was boosted by a one-off. The KES 2.30 special dividend came from gains on selling majority stakes in Jubilee’s general insurance businesses to Allianz.
  • The interim is flat. It has stayed at KES 2.00 since 2023, so growth comes through the final dividend.

Is the Jubilee Holdings Dividend Safe?

Profit is growing. For the six months to June 2026, net profit rose 12.7% to KES 3.45 billion, and profit before tax jumped 30% to KES 4.43 billion. Full-year 2025 net profit was KES 5.55 billion, up about 17.6%. Read more in Business Daily’s half-year report and Kenyan Wallstreet’s breakdown.

The balance sheet is strong too. Total assets reached KES 272.7 billion and equity KES 58.3 billion at June 2026.

Risks to watch:

  • Weak underwriting. The insurance service result fell about 60% in H1 2026 on higher claims and medical inflation. Profit leaned on investment and finance income.
  • Market-linked earnings. If investment returns slump, profit and the dividend can feel it.
  • Thin trading. Only about KES 947 million of shares traded in the 12 months to early September 2026. Selling a large holding quickly can be hard.
  • Concentrated ownership. The Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development holds about 38%, so minority shareholders have limited influence.

With a payout ratio near 19%, the dividend looks well covered. Just don’t assume growth is guaranteed.

How to Qualify for the Next Jubilee Dividend

The rules are the same as any NSE stock:

  1. Hold shares in your own CDS account. Start with our NSE trading guide or the guide to buying shares in Kenya.
  2. Buy before the T+3 deadline. Trades settle three business days later, so buy at least three business days before book closure. Jubilee sometimes announces the interim only days before, so holding early is safer.
  3. Link a valid KRA PIN. It ensures the correct 5% resident tax rate.
  4. Keep your bank details current with your broker or CDSC.

Jubilee Holdings vs Other NSE Insurers

Jubilee is the standout dividend payer among NSE insurers. Per-share amounts at CIC (KES 0.13 final), Kenya Re (KES 0.15) and Liberty Kenya (KES 0.50) look tiny beside KES 15. But per-share amounts mislead, because share prices differ. Compare yields, not shillings.

Britam is a different story. It hasn’t paid in years, so read our Britam Holdings dividend guide to see whether that is changing.
